Our primary purpose for collecting information from customers is generally to provide the customer with our products and services. We may also use or disclose a customer’s personal information for reasonable secondary purposes such as to manage and perform any contract entered into, to help us identify and develop products and services that may interest customers, to maintain and enhance our relationship, to conduct market or customer satisfaction research, to conduct promotions and invite you to events, to send you newsletters, to provide your contact details to a builder when considering or purchasing a house and land package from us, or to provide your contact details to your new neighbours for the construction of fencing only.
Our primary purpose for collecting information from contractors, subcontractors and agents is to assist us in providing our products and services to our customers. We may also use the personal information to conduct checks to ensure that the contractor, subcontractor or agent can perform the services to our standards or for payment purposes.
For potential employees and prospective contractors and subcontractors, our primary purpose for collecting information is to assess suitability for employment or engagement.
Our usual process of collecting personal information is to collect the personal information directly from the individual concerned. Personal information may also be collected by way of electronic and hard copy enquiry forms and questionnaires, exhibition attendance and inbound and outbound telemarketing campaigns. We may also collect personal information from other sources, such as from government bodies, paid search providers and public registers, referrals by individuals or other entities, your advisors, banks and financial institutions, contractors and subcontractors. In the case of customers, we will generally only collect the personal information from other sources if it is necessary to provide you with our products and services.
If you do not provide us with your personal information, we may not be able to engage with you, or provide you with our products and services.
We may disclose personal information to other entities such as our contractors, subcontractors and agents including third party technology providers we engage from time to time, employers, government bodies (such as the Australian Taxation Office and the Australian Securities and Investment Commission), our external auditors, banks, your advisors and insurance providers and brokers. We do not disclose credit information to a credit reporting body.
We generally do not disclose your personal information to overseas recipients.
